RIP DJ HIDEO

Tung Ha

Growing up in Westminster California, Tung found music as an escape and wanted to share his passions with anyone that wanted to experience that freedom. After his stint as his high school DJ in the early nineties, Tung began DJing various clubs in the Orange county and Long Beach areas as well as College radio shows across Southern California. This experience led him to an internship at L.A. urban radio station 92.3 The Beat in 1997. After numerous guest spots on shows like Soul Assassins Radio with B-Real and a host of fill-in shifts, Tung's hard work and persistence secured himself on the roster as an official on-air DJ for the radio station a year later. Tung Ha received his own weekly mixshows playing for Eric Cubeechee's "Saturday Night Live" and "Friday Night Beatdown" with DJ Hideo. In 2001, Tung met and began recording with rapper Ras Kass, eventually becoming Ras Kass' DJ, rocking shows nationwide and touring alongside Xzibit. Tung continued to mix for "The Beat" through its shift to 100.3fm, up to its corporate demise in 2006. Today you'll find Tung Ha spinning different genres of music at various hot spots across the country. He continues to share his passions by providing a night life and atmosphere for an experience enjoyed by all.
